Developing District Strategies for a More Climate‑Resilient City
Over the next 12 to 18 months, Water Resilient Dundee will develop a suite of District Strategies that build toward a comprehensive, city‑wide approach to managing rainwater, reducing flood risk, and supporting sustainable growth across Dundee.

Lochee District Strategy
The Lochee Drainage Strategy sets out the first steps toward a more sustainable and climate-resilient drainage system for the Lochee area.
Strathmartine Connections
Strathmartine Connections (formerly St Mary’s Drainage Strategy) is a major, multiyear programme designed to improve drainage, enhance local green spaces, reduce flood risk, and strengthen community resilience across the Strathmartine area.

Douglas Connections
Douglas Connections is a landscape‑led regeneration initiative within Water Resilient Dundee. Over the coming year, work will focus on detailed design, community engagement, and phased improvements to streets, parks, and public spaces.
Dighty Restoration
The Dighty Restoration Project is a partnership effort led by SEPA and Dundee City Council aiming to restore the Dighty Water, create accessible blue‑green corridors, and deliver climate‑resilient, community‑focused environmental improvements.

Union Street
Union Street is undergoing a major transformation to create a safer, healthier, and more welcoming space for everyone who lives, works, and visits the area.
Murraygate
The Murraygate is one of Dundee’s busiest and most historic streets, and it is now at the heart of a major transformation that aims to create a more vibrant, attractive, and climate‑resilient city centre.

Lochee Pocket Park
The new Pocket Park on Bank Street is helping transform a once‑derelict corner of Lochee into a welcoming green space for residents and visitors.
St Marys Community Centre
The rainwater upgrades at St Mary’s Community Centre are an important early step within the wider Strathmartine Connections programme—an initiative bringing together education, community engagement, and sustainable water management across the area
