St Marys Drainage Strategy

Scottish Water and Dundee City Council are developing a Drainage Strategy to reduce flood risk in St Marys, Dundee. The plan focuses on storm water management and includes implementing blue-green infrastructure, which will also enhance water quality, biodiversity, greenspace, active travel and community well-being.

St Marys Community Engagement

Water Resilient Dundee are working with the St Mary’s Community Centre, Craigowl Primary School and St Andrews Primary School to make blue-green infrastructure accessible in the community. The three-year project is funded by the Scottish government and delivered by Scottish Water, Abertay University and Optimised Environments. The project supports practical interventions for sustainable storm water management and provides educational engagement activities.

Craigie Pocket Park

The Stobswell Forum community group, in a collaborative effort with Sustrans Scotland, Dundee City Council and Scottish Water, designed and installed permanent enhancements on five routes off Albert Street. This project, with the Dundee community at its heart, is a testament to the power of collective action in transforming our neighbourhood. The Craigie Street pocket park was one of the five locations.
